Looking at snow in North Stamford, light covering of my deck, driveway just wet. Guess it's still pretty.

Just heard from a Meteo on Accuweather Channel with DirecTV that there was supposed to be a Low that developed ahead of the front over Delaware today that didn't. That Low would of given us a Northeast flow and locked the colder air in place more but because it didn't form the southerly push was stronger hence why NYC seeing rain already.

Actually that looks more like it is snowing in the Bronx and all but the southern tip of Manhattan, but raining in the other boros and Long Island.

Farmington Valley has been getting snowed upon since about 8pm. It's a wet snow but it really feels cold and damp and snowy out so probably it will continue all night long. (Note how UNscientific I am, lol.) The other thing--my dog loves snow--we even call him "Snow Dog"-- but he didn't like this stuff. Too wet, too much like rain.

Finally saw a few flurries at the Newington/Berlin line around 8 PM (i.e. DiBella's Subs and Taco Bell, across from the Eversource HQs). It's in the upper 20s as I write this. Albeit mostly light, it IS sticking here now (Berlin/Newington town line area, Berlin side of it).

Mesoscale (blue outline) for Heavy Snowfall rates expanded into NJ, Southern NY and CT next couple hours.. https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/md/

This is when most of the accumulations will happen. Then its changeover time.

Note, raining on parts of Long Island.

My gauge is catching the snow and I'm swapping it with a dry one as I melt the contents inside.

1/2" snow total melted to 0.08" liquid. 6:1 wet ratios

Having fun! Still haven't had a bigger snowfall since mid November. (need 1")

The cars are covered but the grass barely is. It's 32 degrees and the flakes appear to be very fine, and blowing around. But the snow on the cars/ground looks heavy and wet.
