The lowest Summer Dewpoint at Bridgeport was 21°F June 6, 1958. WOW!
A blogger I know is claiming that the dewpoint of 79 at Central Park just before the thunderstorms yesterday is the highest they ever had. I am doubting that, I bet they went over 80 on one of the days you mention above.

Also (I don't want to go back and look for your post on it), interesting article I found on a/c adding to the heat, uses Phoenix as an example and though it sounds it at times, strictly goes into the idea of a/c blowing out heat and nothing else:

Any idea on official rain totals for New Britain or Hartford? They don't seem to be showing up for Brainard (HFD) in full at noaa.gov. I don't have internet at night. I'm guessing it rained the whole night? I know we had a thunderstorm at 9 pm-ish. It was raining when I woke up between 6 and 6:30 am.

At 12:30 PM, New Britain was only 68 degrees! WOW! A dew point to follow that of 64. Walking from where I've been staying to Berlin Stop & Shop? The hour walk resulted in little sweat. There's no way I could've said that this weekend!

Meanwhile, there was a tornado in South Yarmouth, MA.
