I’d probably go to a hotel room in a nearby town that has power for a few days till power comes back to your house. There is no way I’m going to try sleeping in that without AC. It feels like 95 F here now, and I could barely do basic yard work for 10 minutes before feeling drained.
I remember a severe thunderstorm with high winds in September caused large waves from the lake to knock down a transformer when I was here a few years back. Next 2 days were well into the 90’s. When I was told it would take more than 48 hours for power to be restored, I spent 2 nights at the extended stay just so I could sleep comfortably and only came back once power returned.

Have to wait until Friday for relief.

I feel bad for those still without power. Just so messed up waiting 7+ days.

I hope they find a way to buy a generator and just plug in an extension cord for a box fan at least or a small window AC. Home Depot had 6500watt generators.

77° at BDR and HVN at the 6am OBS. WTF! I need mornings to step outside and take a breath of fresh air.

Here it is. Even with 4 days missing (Isaias) its tied for the record this summer with 30 days having a minimum temp of 70° or warmer. (Using 71° it is a record)

What's more annoying is the rain or lack of. I was so psyched for the storms coming in from the NW last night and then as they hit Rte 8 it was like they disappeared. Then today watching these little patch showers go just north of the parkway out of reach. Is it that hard to get a good rain for a day or 3, grrr.

Even the storm, we got a tiny bit in the AM then it was all wind because of the side we were on. My tulip tree is starting to yellow and drop leaves.

Dude, I covered my firewood because I saw that line and hoped for a pop up! Nada. I forgot to uncover to let them season better. All that humidity trapped in the stack not good.

Speaking of....holy wow!!! Temp only 85 but it feels like an oven!!
