It's not letting me paste the image from the BOX Facebook page, but apparently BDL was 90 today and now has an astonishing 35 90+ degree days this year. Record is only 3 more, from 1983. Other nearby sites (i.e. Boston, Providence, Worcester) weren't even close (Worcester has had only FOUR days, it said it was one BELOW their norm), so I don't think it's "you know what"

Thanks Cam - is Bridgeport/Danbury on a similar path? I thought I saw Bridgeport was below average

This one was actually me, not Cam.

BDR has 10 90+ days so far. I believe that's slightly above average. DXR has 5 90+ days so far, which I think is below average.

It's been an incredible year for this, LaGuardia has not had a night below 70 since July 2. Reagan National Airport in DC has not since June 26 (July is the first time they went an entire calendar month without it going below 70!)

11pm and in the 70s. Incredible for sure. 33 days for Bridgeport. No summer since 1949 had this many

Forgot to post this yesterday...... Check out the rain totals in CT from the prior day... If you were on the north side of I-95 you barely got anything if anything at all.

BDR actually got 0.45"! Lucky them! 0 in East Haven

0.33" in South Fairfield while 0.03" in Westport

I know there are many other models to look at but take a look just 24hrs before..

GFS continues to bring "light" rain into SWCT (Danbury) and Euro says NADA.

It's going to depend how far north the shield comes like last time, remember? Staying on I-95 only. If I had to bet on it, I would say we are going to get a little rain tomorrow.

Here's the NAM model. Sunday afternoon Rainy for southern half of state

Here is the HRRR model Sunday 4pm barely rain in CT

Can't wait!!!!

BTW - Just came across this stat... Bridgeport consecutive days with the temperature not dropping below 68°. Streak ended August 3rd but was a record. Not a record using 69 or 70

Edit:::: Oh wait, streak ended because of Isaias putting the station offline. Ugh.. I hope they fill those data gaps in.

New Preston and Torrington getting some good rains right now. (yellows)

Note that rain moving opposite direction over the Atlantic right into NJ. I believe that's the marine layer at a different level in the atmosphere. Pretty cool!
