And the same is true of Florida. Vaccines are available every where. Monoclonal antibodies save hospitalization and lives however for those with breakthrough infections and the unvaccinated. As the season changes, infections will increase as will hospitalization in Ct.
They'll increase some for the unvaccinated but it will be manageable numbers. CT is learning to live with it. They're doing a great job up here.
And will you be outraged if Connecticut businesses start banning unvaccinated customers from entering- even with face masks- or companies don't hire someone if they haven't received the vaccine? After all, their business, their choice right?

Spot on. Between the number of vaccinated individuals and those with some level of current immunity from having contracted Covid, the Northeast is unlikely to see any significant increase in hospitalizations going forward.

THANK YOU. I'm sure this took some time to cut & paste, but it's well worth the reminder...that we live with and have accepted far more onerous requirements. Heck, in fall of 2020, Gov. Baker even made flu shots mandatory for schoolchildren in MA!
Vaccine will protect you from bad outcomes is your argument.
So not a valid comparison above.
Vaccinated individuals still can spread infection....
Also it's interesting to see how the left throw away arguments that no longer suit the agenda.
It does reduce spread. You’re less likely to have symptoms, shorter duration, less viral shedding in most cases.
Yes, it’s possible to transmit and have as much viral load as unvaccinated but that’s in BREAKTHROUGH CASES ONLY. It’s not a rule. The CDC really messed up the communications and fueled anti vaccine sentiment

"the left throw away arguments that no longer suit the agenda"
To the scientist and doctors this IS NOT about politics or a political party*.
Do you now why they call this the "novel" coronavirus?
"Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that can cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases. A “novel” coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans" https://www.brgeneral.org/news-blog/...onavirus-mean-
I have Crohn's Disease and my specialists are at Mount Sinai in NYC. I am on medication right now because of a flare. I am still asking them questions. I wanted to go to a mini-concert (500 seats) my brother is playing in. I contacted one of my doctors to see if I can go see my brother and this is what he wrote to me......
"We still don't know all about this virus. To be on the safe side don't go to the concert".
The scientists and doctors are STILL learning about Covid as I am writing this and will be studying it for many years to come.
BTW my doctor did not ask me what political party I was before he gave his advice.

Note how you immediately attributed a left/right implication here? Therein lies the problem.
The only "agenda" is getting back to normalcy, if not 2019 conditions, as far as public health. I think and hope you would share attainment of that agenda. There is no ulterior motive nor satisfaction derived in "prolonging" the pandemic or "control" by requiring people to cover their faces.

There's workarounds when it comes to school. Many parents are against vaccinating their children and they still attend. This was before Covid so nothing to do with the politics and freedom fighters. Maybe with some it's religious exemption. I don't know
CT is doing a great job. The recent mask mandates were much ado about nothing, basically one final attempt at a Grandstand. It's a wink-wink now. I see many unmasked in places still but there's less pushback. No one really cares. Stores and restaurants could be in violation but no ones checking.
