Yes, it is no different than the whole welfare dependency argument. You will hear the same proponents say that they are more blacks collecting welfare. That blacks are takers. But the real answer is in the raw numbers. There are more white people on the welfare roll.

And both are for cash or disagreements so I fail to see the big difference.

I don't know anything about this case, but just based on the scenario, wouldn't criminally negligent homicide be a more appropriate charge than murder? I mean, unless we get more info, it doesn't sound like a cold blooded execution to me, and I'm no cop lover. Not a cop hater, just prefer not to interact with law enforcement.
The prosecutor will charge the highest they can in this case (I believe) I doubt they will be able to charge or prove premeditated murder... unless they can find evidence of same,, that being said he will also be charged with assault under color of authority...,, they also want to keep the city from burning.. so expect to see swift and appropriate justice... it will be dogpile

The family involved continues to show great restraint

A coast guard veteran,, can it possibly be.. they are both Coasties,,,
Semper Paratus,,,, as you pass over the bar my brother

I am still in complete disbelief ... all of my shift is... we keep saying.. there has to be more... and yet it appears there isnt.. and it appears the worst things occurred...

While this is outside any law or policy.... on its face.... that I act under.. have ever acted under... or ever conceivably I could act under... I will still await a full investigation before I give my full opinion...because this is what any of us should wait for....

The cop did not have the right to use deadly force. This guy was pulled over for a broken taillight, FGS. And running away? That guy could barely run, that was more like jogging. The cop easily could have caught him and taken him down, cuffed him and done things without ending this man's life. It's disturbing as hell how he just casually shoots the guy multiple times, then leaves him cuffed and dying and doesn't even try to give him aid.

So North Charleston had over 20 murders last year (2014), most unsolved because the "community" wouldn't cooperate with the police. Wonder what's really going on and why police are so trigger happy...

Leave it to a 'black/white' incident to devolve into yet another shouting match and debates over who commits what percentages of crimes, yada yada yada.

I foresee a locked thread countdown in 5, 4....
