I don't see why. It's just a link. We're not all required to follow your link in order to participate in this discussion. If you think the link contains info that is relevant, maybe post a snippet from the article or whatever it is. In the meantime, if you do keep posting it over and over it may be considered spamming.

[quote=Ringo1;40418341]From what I read - they did nothing illegal. Anyone in the medical field in any capacity becomes somewhat 'hardened' to death in any manner.

Other professions as well if you often deal with death or dismemberment.[/quote

This is entirely true. You have to be hardened to death and dieing patients because the job will suck your soul dry if you don't live it business as usual. However, I looked at those pictures of aborted babies and found them horrifying. I also read the description by a nurse of a partial abortion and it turned my stomach. I personally could never participate in something so barbaric and horrific. I am pro choice but I also can not support partial abortions. I support the morning after pill but I personally believe that late term abortions need to stop. It's unfortunate that they are still legal, but using discarded parts for medical research makes sense to me. Maybe some good can come out of something so horrifying. I do hope it stops soon though.

Isn't it illegal to sell human body parts?

So what? The abortions have happened anyway. Is it better for the remains to be tossed in a dumpster, or to potentially help save lives?

It's unfortunate when people let futile sentimentality impede progress.

That said, while I support what is being done with these abortions, I'm a little alarmed that the remains were developed organs. This sounds like late term abortions, which I am vehemently against. Do it within the first trimester or not at all.

They don't sell the parts, they sell the storage of the parts. It's like what they do with cord blood. Or just regular blood.

Not really:

The researchers found that women in general delayed getting abortions if they are unsure they are pregnant, aren’t sure they want an abortion, and are disagreeing with the baby’s father.

Ok, so let’s start a not-for-profit human parts farm. Young girls come in for abortion and their child’s organs are safely harvested for good cause. Who knows, may be it’ll help cure leprosy someday. Since fully grown organs are of value, only late term abortions are accepted but they will still be called a fetus.

I don't have a problem with any of that, so we're not going to see eye to eye on the issue. However, that is a straw man and misrepresentation of what currently happens.
