What a disgusting POS. I'm so glad he got caught. Plus married with young children.

Federal oversight is the only aspect I would trust in this case.

What is your point? He was fired. He was arrested. He will do federal time. What more do you want?

And that is the problem. Now in this case it has been taken out of the hands of the local "authorities", but often it isn't.

Sorry, anyone who "investigates" themselves seems to get cleared most of the time.

"48 Hours" did a segment awhile back also in FL, the girlfriend of a cop committed "suicide" using his gun, she had broken up with him. The whole thing was very "sketchy", add in most young women don't shoot themselves when it comes to suicide. And she dumped him, not the other way around.

He was cleared due to an internal investigation.

Honestly let the feds look at every instance of police corruption and you probably will be close to the arrests of cops that happen at the local level. Lastly anything other than any allegation that does not end in an arrest would make many here upset. Cops have rights just like any other citizen. If a cop commits a crime then he/she should be arrested,,prosecuted and jailed. However they should also get due process that everyone in this country is entitled to. Many in here forget that.

And than some. They get preferential treatment most of the time.

It's well known a cop driving drunk gets pulled over and gets a ride home. It's called "professional courtesy", they also get a pass on other things.

So I would say they have more rights than the rest of us.

Ah, the old adage that other inmates who beat up pedophiles are somehow considered to be 'paradigms of virtue'. Inmates who beat up pedophiles are generally cowards who get their evil kicks out of beating up those who they consider weak and won't fight back. As for those who post such things as the above, it always sickens me to think that such people are little more than potential cowards themselves who prefer someone else commit acts of thuggery for them.

The term 'disgust' has many applications, el_marto.

If convicted, this Cop will be murdered in prison----guaranteed.
