Don't need the money, but will buy one ticket just for fun. The first thing I would after winning is finding a way to discreetly thank the losers who gave me the winnings. LOL. Seriously, if I win, my routines would not change one bit.
When it reached 1.6 billion, payout after taxes was 907 million.
No.

The 1.6 billion prize is if you were to take the yearly annuity payments.
Yes.
Also PB jackpot is 630M. MM jackpot is 1.6B
So, first time in history that two jackpots combined is over 2 billion dollars!!!
Alright thats it, I'm gonna buy a PB ticket too with a MM ticket.
Based on sales projections, 75 percent of the 302 million possible combinations will be chosen for Tuesday's drawing, up from 59.1 percent in Friday's, said Carole Gentry, spokeswoman for Maryland Lottery and Gaming.
I have two sets of numbers I play for every Powerball & MegaMillions drawing. Would be a good time for one (or both) to come up. What a life changer a win like that would be. And for the better if you keep your wits about you.
I bet it will be close to 2 billion by the next draw. Cash value would be right around 1,130,000,000 after tax using this handy calculator (https://taxfoundation.org/2018-tax-reform-calculator/) you are looking at 710,000,000 +/-. (might be off by a couple of million but it's peanuts....)

Well aren’t you special. I don’t NEED millions/billions either, but I’ll be more than happy to take it if someone wants to offer it to me.
Useful site on calcs showing Lump sum vs. Annuity amounts including pretax, federal withholdings, and state tax withholdings. It does say the effective tax rates will vary compared with the withheld amount but at least this is starting figures.

SO if we look at how the cash sum increased, using the most recent data points, thanks in large par to LillyLillyLilly's frequent updates of both jackpot and lump sum figures:
From the first two data points, it was only an increase in 141M in sales. And of course for the most recent jump, much higher from essentially 500M to 900M, that's an increase in 400M of cash (meaning MUCH higher ticket sales).
It would be reasonable to expect at least a similar increase in jump in sales for this next drawing.....potentially another 300-400+M. So cash option likely at least going to be 1200-1600+M, which could potentially mean 2000M in jackpot if its the higher end.
Since this will be a new world record, another huge ticket buying frenzy is likely to occur!
