Once the corpse is charred, what in the blue hell do you expect anyone to do? Minimize the charring? Putting the corpse in a more comfortable position? You gotta be kidding me.
The cab driver probably didn't even know there was someone else in the car! It was a guy who wanted to get to the hospital ASAP and that's that.
Truth be told, I may do the same thing. Unless it's my family in the burning car. Then I would injure myself significantly more while trying to get them out.
