I can't believe the number of posters who think this kind of behavior is acceptable!
Just because I am a responsible parent and pet owner does not mean I want to pick up after strangers. We're talking about an adult woman, someone who was more then capable of doing it herself.
None of us said "it's acceptable". We're saying "it's forgivable" for a variety of biological reasons.
Maybe she's a new employee and didn't think about all that.
Maybe she was stricken with a sudden need to void her bowels and there was no time to consider another alternative. There is no evidence that this is a habit with her.
Remember the guy on that airplane who was denied access to the bathroom because it was the new security rule? He pleaded, begged the flight attendants. He had to move his bowels immediately, but they told him to return to his seat and wait 20 minutes until they landed. He couldn't! He dropped his pants and eliminated on the galley floor where it would be easy to clean up and disinfect. He didn't want that load in his pants, stinking up the airplane and seeping into the seat and his clothing... and neither would I as someone sitting next to him or several rows away from him.
@#$% happens! That's how we're all made. Elimination isn't always convenient and well planned out.
If you're the type of person who believes it's noble to soil his pants and then sit in it for hours, PLEASE do not deliver my mail or share my flight.
I'm agreeing pretty much with most of your posts. Emergencies do happen and sometimes we don't plan ahead, but still, I would have went back and tried to get it cleaned up if I had nothing to clean it up with.
It is sad that our country has come to this. We are moving toward a 3rd world nation where employees are treated like "crap"!
My son told me once that the teacher would not let kids go to the bathroom if they asked during class. I told him to go if he needed to, and I would deal with the teacher (and she would never forget it). I believe the time should be allotted for those that are toilet-trained to use the proper facilities.
I googled for "poops in street/yards" and was surprised to find a list of links. In one case, the owner stabbed the pooper.
I once caught a woman who was letting her dog poop in my yard, now I realize it could have been worse.

Note that most of those posters appear to live in California.
It’s disgusting that anyone would find a human taking a dump on someone’s driveway acceptable. Much less leaving it there. That is third world country behavior.
Yeah, yeah, the sky is falling. We should all enter our underground bomb shelters .... now!
Run! Run for your lives before the Street Poopers over take us!!
Any human that s*its on someone's property and leaves it there is an animal.
JerseyGirl is absolutely right:
Any human that s*its on someone's property and leaves it there is an animal.
Also,
Any human that s*its on someone's property and does not leave it there is an animal;
any human that does not s*it on someone's property but leaves it there is an animal;
and
any human that does not s*it on someone's property and does not leave it there is an animal.
Because all humans are animals. We are part of the animal kingdom, not above it.

Really! You people are nuts! Did you ever change a baby's diaper - pick up your cat litter or dog poop - wipe a family member's butt after they had surgery and are unable to do it themselves? If not - you have something to look forward too.
helping a family member who needs help or picking up dog poop or scooping cat crap or changing a babies diaper (which can be pretty damn disgusting to be honest), none of these things come close to cleaning up an adult strangers sh*t off the street. come on now...
nurses and people in situations where it is part of their job are a different breed. i couldn't do it. but that is part of their job and they know that going in.
i get that there are times when someone just can't wait and has to go. i get it. but she should have cleaned it up. if she didn't have anything with her at the time, she should have gone back. embarrassed i'm sure. but i'd rather someone come back embarrassed and clean up their mess than to just leave it there.
she could have gone to a drug store or gas station or somewhere to get something, find something, to go back and take care of her own mess. leaving it there for someone else to clean up is where i find her and what she did disgusting.
(p.s. to some posters...this wasn't UPS and this wasn't a man and some of us who live in california do not think this is accceptable. not sure what living in california has to do with whether you find her leaving her own crap in front of someone's driveway disgusting or not.)
.....sometimes nature calls and needs an immediate answer and solution. If my choice is to dump "in my pants" or "on the sidewalk", I'm choosing the sidewalk.
Whoever wouldn't, raise your hand... and just keep on delivering with a seat full of smashed, stinky pooh in your pants.
I would find a bathroom. But that's just me.
