I am not a religious person. But everything I saw about this man was good. Everything that came from this mans' heart was meant to further along the human race in a positive way. Nothing wrong with the 10 commandments.
If there is a heaven, he will certainly be in it. RIP Billy.

So, did you approve of his blatant anti-Semitism that was revealed on "the Nixon Tapes", or were you not aware that he was a phony and a bigot?
I think a person is the body of their work. I already said what I saw about the man was fine. This is a thread about a man's funeral, not a debate. If you saw that, then so be it. I did not see that.
*Body of work: More good than harm..that's how I want to go out.

If you bother to open the link to that article, then you can see it, and if you doubt the veracity of that article, you can find a fairly large number of news articles that reported the same thing. If you feel that he was a "Godly" man, you are entitled to that opinion, just as I am entitled to believe that he was a phony and a bigot as a result of his own words--which were memorialized on tape when he did not know that he was being recorded.
What somebody says or does when he thinks that nobody is watching or listening is the real measure of that person's moral compass.
Perhaps I am ignorant to the man. Again, and lastly, I will reiterate...that what I viewed of the man's life was good. You guys can make a thread meant to honor a person about your personal political beliefs, or just leave and let people who did like (what they saw) be alright. I am not a big TV junkie, nor one to catch the news. The few pieces I saw, he was OK with me.
And now, go on and troll a thread about his death. Geeze.

Luke 6:22-23 22 Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man. 23 Be glad in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For in the same way their fathers used to treat the prophets.
Rest in peace Billy Graham. †
