So much for the separation of church and state. Even Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. did not receive that honor -- although Rosa Parks did in 2005.
Separation of church and state does not mean what you think it does. The man's corpse is not going to hold a church service; get over it.

I bought some nice expensive wind chimes to hang in a tree above my parents' graves in a private family cemetery in the middle of nowhere. On the clapper I had engraved "Absent from the body; present with the Lord." Someone stole the wind chimes. I don't know what kind of a person you would have to be to do that.

I'm sorry that happened. It's a shame that someone would do such a thing. Some people are just no good. Did you replace it?

One poster compared Billy to Mother Teresa, who would only allow Christians to adopt her orphans? And you call that saintly???????

I'll bet there are people here with grandparents or great grandparents who thought the same way. Are you going to tell us that we shouldn't mourn their death because they are evil people?

What "risks" would those be? His inability to control himself sexually whether through impure thoughts or action in the presence of a woman?

People have dirty minds. Sometimes church people are the worst. He was protecting himself from gossip and false accusations and even the hint of impropriety. Even if no one gossiped (chances are no one would) he wanted the chance to be zero. It's really no one's business but his own.

He was sort of a celebrity after a while and sometimes they are targets. I'm sure he knew that too. No matter what he did, someone was going to criticize him for it. Better that it be for this.

A male living to be 99 is pretty incredible to me. Even Jack LaLanne didn't make it past 96. Jack reportedly kicked Arnold Schwarzenegger's ass in the gym when Jack was about 55.

A++ for making it to 99.....while helping millions with their faith.

No.

The risk is in the "woman" accusing him of something he didn't even think, much less do, followed by the moronic media making a stink without having a clue.
