Look -- if you're fat, you're FAT. Let's stop acting like being overweight is not a problem. It is. If it incurs additional fees on something like a passenger airplane, then so be it. It's a very minimal consequence when compared to the list of issues one will face with being unhealthy.
Weighing more doesn't necessarily mean "fat." Lots of fit guys travel who tip the scales above 200 pounds.

More material is need for larger prices...thus the extra charge.
There's NO EXTRA charge if you wanna spill out of a smaller size though is there?

If the airline seat is extra large...fine...charge extra...otherwise no way.

You're right
The men in this family are ALL well over 6 feet and weigh well over 200 lbs. All are very physically fit.

If airlines ever did this, I could see passengers who are overweight exchange weight with their baggage so that they don’t have to pay a surcharge. For example if the limit is 200lbs, and a person weighs 210 pounds, their bag could weigh no more than 40lbs.

A few years ago there was word of "standing seats", and it was mostly a hoax. This would fall under the same category.

Not a hoax, the owner of Ryan Air looked seriously into it, but declared it would never be approved due to safety reasons.
