His mom claimed that he does breath on his own at times, I don't know how true that was.

I can see brain dead people having care disconnected but this was not Tinslee. I'm not finding anything new about Tinslee.

Archie Battersbee: 12-year-old boy dies hours after hospital ends life support against parents' wishes
British law allows for courts to intervene when parents and doctors disagree on a child's medical treatment
MRI scans showed Archie was brain dead and nor brain damaged, and Archie did not even respond to peripheral nerve stimulation test, a precursor to brain stem tests.

The case was overseen by multiple courts including the High Court, Court of Appeal, UK Supreme Court and European Court of Human Rights which refused to interfere in the British Courts ruling, and the decision adhered to International Law.

This was not a case where another hospital or country could offer a different treatment or prognosis.

As for Archies family, they are naturally devastated and have done all they could do in light of the medical evidence that the Courts based their decisions upon.

^^

It's also worth noting that Archie's injuries were believed to have been caused by Tik Tok's Blackout Challenge, and Archie, was found inert with a ligature around his neck on the 7th April 2022.

The Blackout Challenge is one of a number of dangerous social media challenges, that have seen children die on both sides of the Atlantic.

The ‘Blackout Challenge’, encourages people to hyperventilate until they pass out - all for social media likes.

To the extent that applies to Tinslee that's just fine, if her family pays the extraordinary costs of likely futile treatment.

There's photos of Tinslee on the Tinslee strong facebook page. I do not see anything new on her mom's profile

The Texas hospital still wants to kill Tinslee. Court is January 25th. This is supposedly for the final say. How heart breaking that now this is a 3 year old child who may understand what they're wanting to do to her. I'm clueless what shape she's in.

Fort Worth court will determine who decides severely ill toddler’s medical care. Mom or her doctors? - 4:16 PM on Sep 23, 2021
The decision will likely determine whether Tinslee Lewis lives or dies.

Trial date set in Tinslee Lewis case; court to rule on Fort Worth toddler’s treatment - Updated September 23, 2021 5:26 PM

It hit me before that Tinslee had a birthday, I can't believe she just turned four. Happy 4th birthday Tinslee

Her mother got rid of the Tinslee Strong Facebook page. I then sifted through the posts here for the link to her mothers facebook, there are no posts about Tinslee that are showing for the public. I see a few post shares on her moms page for the site Project TX Fragile Kids, I'm not seeing a Tinslee update there either.

I guess no news is good news.

Tinslee has been home how for almost a year now. Wonder how the family is doing and how much it's taking to provide for her support.

There are tens of thousands of kids in this country that fit the above description. Does your county have a developmental center where developmentally disabled kids and adults live? Go look around. There are many that are nothing but bundles of reflexes (I had a clinical internship at one) Taxpayers have always paid for kids and adults with disabilities. Many lower level than Tinslee, who makes eye contact and smiles.

Bottom line in this case, the hospital said she would die if disconnected from the life support equipment, they were wrong and she did not. What should they do, reach over and strangle her so you don’t have to pay?

my cynical take is every group that wanted to use her to stake out a position had done so long ago and are now done with her.

the lack of recent news makes me think she has since died or groups would be touting how she is still 'fighting'. but I see none of that.

She isn't dying or fighting to live, she was discharged home in stable condition in April. She was off oxygen and pain meds when she was discharged, she isn't on any life-sustaining machinery anymore. I think it would have been big news had she died.

and I think I'd be able to find a story since April 2022 that she's doing fine and/or alive.
