It's said many Koreans are flying to some Chinese cities to avoid the outbreak. The flights from Seoul to Qingdao are fully booked.
Local government of Qingdao has not decided to quarantine them.

Italy is a very popular international tourism destination, and the newly wealthy in China are traveling. The US closed the door to people coming in from China, but I don't think that Italy did. Surely, the initial case or cases in Italy were from someone coming in from China. Do they really need a patient zero at this point? It's pretty widespread in Italy, and there's no way that Italy is going to take the quarantine measures necessary to contain it.

Funny how my go-to for information now on this is Worldmeters and then City Data.

I'm also curious as to why the US is lagging on recoveries unless it really takes 2-3 weeks to fully recover.

I do think it takes 2 to 3 weeks to fully recover. But hey, I'll take a longer recovery time in exchange for a lower death rate.

Are there any deaths in the US? Of US citizens?

Italy has quarantined 12 cities in Northern Italy already.

I am looking at the https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ stats and wonder why in some countries the % of recovered patients is much higher than in others...

That's what I thought (some people say 53 cases but my point is that there are no US deaths so far).
