There are other ways to somewhat safer access the money electronically: not sure how shrewd she was.

I think, that LEO think she isn’t alive. Issuing a warrant for her arrest would allow for accounts freezing by the judge and prevent him from accessing her monthly pension money just in case?
Not that such a violent guy need to fiddle with the electronic banking - he is all set for a while with her $80K cash and is not afraid of violence/murder to get more when needed
On the other hand, she still could be useful to him for a while if she is disguised- dark hair, sunglasses, a mask, etc - to shop, etc

He would have more to lose by killing her. I agree with you that she could be easily disguised and, as such, could be used by White to buy essentials, gas (if they managed to get/steal a vehicle), etc. At 6'6" he will be more difficult to hide. Incidentally, his prison i.d. information shows his height at 6'6", but I imagine anything over 6"5" is going to be noticed.
Guess does not make good choices in men? And maybe just feels sorry for them and wants to "help"?
And possibly fell for some sob story about how he's innocent and has been wronged, or he has changed, or if we want to get into "rescuer" territory, maybe that she's the only person who could help him or she's the only person who makes him want to change or any other manner of BS.
And we think that only political reporting is controversial …

Seems like simple easily verifiable facts, yet - different media are reporting differently.
It seems to me that a 25-year employee with an "exemplary record", and who was making a decent salary as Assistant Director of Corrections would have more sense than to be become involved with an inmate.
Ya'd think! And with retirement ahead of her??! (And with a good amount of proceeds I've read from a sale of a home??) To throw all that down the crapper for some deadbeat??!!!! This is the kind of stuff that is just absolutely insane!
I'm really hoping it turns out she didn't willingly go along with this, but there's a lot of signs it appears which point to yes. Will keep following. Hope they catch this guy before he kills some other poor innocent person thereby ruining who knows how many lives. Will surely happen if he's out there for very long. Very sad. And excessively irritating if she went along with all this.

I know, right?! Maybe a young, rookie officer could be swayed by a savvy inmate, but an older experienced one? That's difficult to accept. She was all set to retire comfortably and enjoy the rest of her life in peace.
Also, I read that none of her coworkers ever saw evidence of an affair between the two. Nothing!

I didn't find the 6'9" believable, when you first posted it. I'm glad to see he's shrunk in some reports to a height closer to "normal" (relatively) range.
She couldn't be 40 if she had 25 years in her career. Or do they start 'em out young, at 15? Very strange discrepancies in the reporting. They can't even get the basic facts of her life right.
