Good Monday morning everyone
I would be the crispy here after almost 14 hours of gardening this weekend got a good bit of sun.
Didn't need a light jacket this morning because I was providing my own heat source.
Mental note "sunscreen"
well walk done
Who will be next to check in?

Me! Strength training - 30 minutes; elliptical - 1.5 minutes! Haven't done that one in a while - it just about killed me! Back to the dreadmill for 35 minutes at a much slower pace than normal, thanks to the elliptical.
I am finished with the dog walk and have done 120 ab crunches. I plan to do more later. I'm still on a roll and don't want to lose my momentum.
Good luck, Evey. Sorry that you are burned, Karla.
Nomoresnow - did you say 1.5 MINUTES on the elliptical trainer?
I'm off now to check on some employment opportunities (possibly in my former beloved city in FL). Wish me luck everyone. Thank you all again for your birthday wishes yesterday. Have a great day!
I'M HAVING A BLAST
Managed to do a slow jog this morning and my knee stayed intact. I can't tell you all how good it feels. I am on cloud nine. Hope my whoooohooo is infectious
Nice 14 mile bike ride to work today. Rode through the fog the first half of the ride, sun starting burning off fog as soon as it peeked above the hills. Looks like a nice day in the neighborhood today, should be nice and warm for my 15 mile ride home. Off to another busy week we go. Have fun everyone.

Yes, FedUp, that was all this old body managed on the elliptical!!! LOL. I'll work up slowly, but I'll get there.
There's something I'd like to share with my exercise buddies. I got this from one of our regulars at the gym. She has a killer body, so I asked her what I could do to get rid of my "love handles". She told me to take a 10 lb. weight, put it in my right hand and let it hang to the side of my right leg. Then, raise your left hand up over your head and lean to the right, letting the weight still hang, keeping both legs fairly straight. Straighten up slowly. Do this 25 times, then switch sides and repeat. Work up to 50 per side.
I've only been doing this 3 or 4 weeks, and I've already lost almost an inch on my waist! Thought you might like that one.
Thanks. You know, I just realized that i have been doing one very similar to that-only with the weight in the hand I was bringing up and over my head, bending to the side. I wonder which way is more effective in reducing a waistline.
