I heard Greenhill received 200+ applications for pre k from someone who heard it from admission, don't know if the information is accurate.
200+ sounds much more like it! I think last year’s thread had Greenhill PK apps at around 180. So 10-15% growth from last year in a strong economy (at application time, at least)

850 applicants across all grades seems like a more reasonable estimate to me.

My bad! The email we saw was vague, it referenced 850 applications but didn't give context. You guys are right, it would have to be across all grades.

Any word on wait list movement at Hockaday or Greenhill? This is such a strange year, so I am not sure what to expect.

It is indeed a very strange year. I would expect a little more waitlist move movement than normal but probably not until summer when more is known about economic impacts and how schools plan to react. Students who had planned on returning may have to make changes.

Existing families have until June, I think, to make first tuition payment. But it will affect movement now/soon for families who have to make a choice and deposit for a new school for the fall.

I hope everyone who had multiple admits has made their decision. We gave up our pre-k spot at ESD. I was curious if anyone gave up pre-k spots at Greenhill or Hockaday.

I want to add one more data point to your collection. My daughter applied for Hockaday this year and she got accepted into the 5th grade. Hockaday is the only school she applied for. She wrote her ISEE test once and received a score of 34 (9,9,9,7). Both parents are professionals, and we have no connection to the School.

So - is it safe to assume that any waitlist spots resulting from the percent of new admits that told the schools they were coming last Friday have been filled, and now it's just a question of whether someone changes their mind on going there between now and the start of school?
