It is less humid today. The only reason the temps are 100+ degrees because the air is less humid, drier air is moving in. If it was really humid the temps would not reach this high, but the heat index would be in the 100s.

We went six months without going over 80. This is what, the seventh or eighth day out of 2010 over 100?

True...

I just went outside and sat in the shade for ten minutes or so and while it's no-doubt hot I never broke a sweat. I can guarantee you that is not the case in the southeastern states (or states bordering the Mississippi River all the way north) with temperatures much lower (in the 80s and 90s), but with drenching humidity levels. Many of those areas are extremely uncomfortable when the temperatures are even in the 70s because the humidity is so damn high. It's like stepping out of the shower and putting on clothes without ever drying-off...and it's constant because there is absolutely no relief in the shade or from a cloudy day with the high humidity. Sweat pouring off everyone within seconds...and bugs galore everywhere. In Dallas - it just gets hot, which I'll take anytime compared to high humidity.

Thanks for fixing my post, I didn't notice it until now.

I HATE this weather and the summers. Thankfully I'm escaping to greener pastures next year.

Maybe so.

But the weather here honestly isn't for me. No hard feelings towards the area, just can't stand the weather.
