Hopefully they'll be able to disarm the traps and collect evidence without an explosion. The more info the DA has, the easier the case against him.

My heart goes out to the families of all the victims. Imagine going out to see a movie, to have a good time, and this crap occurs.

Unfathomable...
Whats your problem? I guess EdwardA will come along any minute and post a thread about this violent black act right?

This was a sad event and you cant stop thinking about me long enough to realize it

That will not even be enough. He needs long-term suffering and then an eternity in hell.

No, it's just that it's impossible to traverse this forum without running across one of your posts that reeks of racist overtones. I just figured I'd get this one started for you.

That is all...

Sadly, it can and does happen almost everywhere.

I wonder what, if anything, does it say about us as a society?

One of the victims, Jessica Ghawi, was an aspiring sportscaster and actually just survived the Toronto mall shooting over a month ago. Honestly, the chance of being involved in a mass shooting is probably nearly 1 in a billion. The chance to be involved in two .. astronomical.

This is a blog post she wrote online after surviving the Toronto shooting. It's chilling to say the least.

"I was shown how fragile life was on Saturday. I saw the terror on bystanders’ faces. I saw the victims of a senseless crime. I saw lives change. I was reminded that we don’t know when or where our time on Earth will end. When or where we will breathe our last breath. For one man, it was in the middle of a busy food court on a Saturday evening.
I say all the time that every moment we have to live our life is a blessing. So often I have found myself taking it for granted. Every hug from a family member. Every laugh we share with friends. Even the times of solitude are all blessings. Every second of every day is a gift. After Saturday evening, I know I truly understand how blessed I am for each second I am given".

A friend of mine was in CO for vacation and was going to go to that showing apparently. Glad he didn't.

Deepest condolences from my friends/family and I to all this awful tragedy has affected. Hopefully the authorities can get in his apartment with no additional casualties.

I agree.

Unfortunately, it didn't take long for this to devolve into an inappropriately timed gun control debate.
