All melted in downtown Denver. Not nearly as cold as they said. No sun today though!

Rosamond Park in Denver, this morning around 0745.

1 inch or so here at home, all gone from what I hear.

Very windy and intense out at the airport this morning, more accumulation out there too.

Yep , but the very worst are the ones who think that they are the only ones who know how to drive on snow/ice. These are truly a menace.

Not prolonged, but during a blizzard it can be closed for half a day. In rare cases it will be shut for 24 hours or more. Typically what happens is we get a big snow storm and then a couple accidents on the highway at which point CDOT will shut it down. Sometimes it does snow hard enough that the plows cannot keep up, but they do a pretty good job keeping it open. I have found that as long as people are not wrecking their cars, it stays open.
