When I went out to lunch yesterday afternoon it was 59 degrees. My temperature gauge read 7 degrees on the way into work this morning.

Peyton Manning better keep those hands warm for the game on Sunday.

Good advice. Just want to add, if all else fails: LOTS OF WOOL BLANKETS.

Am I the only one disappointed by today's "storm?" I was expecting something apocalyptical from all the reports and warnings, haha.

The low temps certainly have been impressive. You know, as I think back, it seems we have a bone-chilling few days in early December almost every year.

Default It's soooooooooo freezing cold in Denver

So I was justing looking at the weather for Denver...

NOAA National Weather Service

Talk about being COLD !

At 11am it's saying Denver right now it's about 3 degrees out.

Current Conditions
Denver CO
Partly Cloudy
3°F
-16°C
Last Update on 6 Dec 10:55 am MST

Compare that to the 58 degrees where I'm at right now.

I know Colorado and the Denver area is really fast growing, tons and tons of people moving there. But how could you stand it being that cold? The coldest weather I've ever been in my lifetime is temps maybe in the 20's.

It's a dry cold.

And by the way, there are plenty of bigger cities that have much worse weather than we do during the winter. Perhaps you've heard of Chicago and New York?

Also, have you looked at a weather map? This cold front is hardly isolated to Denver.

I love the snow, so I'm hoping we get a good amount!

I don't so much love driving in it (being a real estate agent I have to drive A LOT). But still, whenever I hear about an incoming snow storm I always find myself hoping to hear the weatherman mention the words "storm of the year"!

I would much rather have it be 30 degrees and snowing, than 5 degrees and sunny!

It's a temporary cold spell, and the weather will moderate soon. Seems to me there are a few days of this nearly every year around this time.

Actually I believe that New York City has a more mild climate then Denver.

Current conditions:

Denver: 6.9 °F, Feels Like 7 °F, Conditions: Scattered Clouds
New York City: 45.1 °F, Feels Like 45 °F ,Conditions: Overcast
Chicago: 21.9 °F, Feels Like 22 °F, Conditions: Overcast

But hey, at least you got the sun peaking through the clouds to make you "feel" all warm in that bone chilling 7° temperature.

We usually have one big cold snap every year so hopefully this is it for us. Hopefully it gets back to the 50s in the next couple of weeks and hopefully the snow continues in the mountains.
