What is getting ruined on that stretch? Haven't noticed any changes.
There's some new stuff that just opened closer to Wadsworth, I want to say one of them was a fancy looking liquor store.

Sonoda's. Had the Crazy Eye roll. Delicious. The service was great, too.

On the topic of sushi...Maki Sushi in Golden.

Fish is fresh and tastes good. Wide variety of standard and specialty rolls. Last time I got a Spicy Girl, Dragon Roll, and a Jalapeno Bomb. All were good but either the Spicy Girl or the Dragon had excessive amounts of cilantro.

Go with others (or order a bunch yourself) and they'll bring it out on a boat. Lunch specials are a good deal: $10 for miso soup, salad w/ a ginger-based dressing, and 2 standard rolls.

Also in Golden, Amir Grill, my favorite Mediterranean restaurant. Excellent gyros/plates, hummus and other apps, but they're best know for the fresh pitas. Every pita order is made fresh in a brick oven and brought out steaming-hot, inflated like a balloon.

Just heard about this place from a coworker: El Bohio Criollo Cuban Cuisine

5 stars on google. Haven't tried it yet but I love me a Cubano so I'll be going later today or this weekend.

Is this topic exclusive to Denver? If not, Silverheels in Frisco is an absolute diamond in the rough. During their happy hour, they have some great deals on some of the best food (I'm not over exaggerating) I've had in Colorado. I'm a big wings fan, and they have the best wings I've ever had. They're almost more like thick ribs than they are wings. If you ever get a chance, stop in at their location in Frisco right off of the main street. You won't regret it, I promise.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot in LoDo.

Food was awesome and they had quality bourbon beer (very good and very strong).

Ha! I grew up right down the street from there. Can't believe it's still around. Still a biker bar?

Yep, still a biker bar. I used to live across the street and we would either walk over to the Piper or Caldonia's. Caldonia's is now dead.

What is funny about the Piper is that it is a biker bar that serves Chinese food.

Not to mention "Best Wings in Denver", but I disagree with that.
