I found the original diet cookbook on Amazon.com..."Weight Watchers program cookbook" written by Jean Nidetch in 1973...it has all the information you will need for the diet plan with the maint plan.
I just saw this post and I have been looking for the old version too. I had lost about 40 lbs 20 yrs ago using the old plan and lost my old WW packet in our move. Please send me a copy of the plan. Thanks!!!

To the last 3 one-shot-wonder posters who ever-so-rudely resurrected a years-old thread to ask for a free copy of copyrighted material:
Go to amazon, and order and PAY for the information you're looking for. Just like the poster grammyvera recommended, the post immediately before you "three" posted.
I found a copy on line, I'm afraid to post a link, but if someone is interested, give me an email and I will send a copy. I bought the book and have hunted like crazy for this thing. I'm going to do my best not to lose it again.

Hello, please tell me you still have this my mother is searching like crazy for this one.
I'm looking for a copy of the 1980 WW plan. It was exchanges and strict but very doable. I lost weight back then, in part because of the Food Journal that was included. Boxes to check off as the daily food allotments were met, but there was also an area for the foods that you could only have so many times a week, such as hard cheese, eggs, possibly some type of meat as well. Would anyone have a copy of the book and chart. If not the book, at least the chart, as that was the most beneficial to me.

Hi AnonChick,
I've been to Amazon online and can't find what I'm looking for. Since you have the answers, could you please direct me to the location that holds the material I am looking for?
Thanks!
