I agree. My whippet may get the occassional bandana. If it gets really cold, he has a simple coat that keeps him warm - and that's it. I love my dog just the Way he is.

I have nothing against Bandanas or fancy collars or warm jackets for some dogs or costumes when used for fun. My dogs all do costumes for the Big Dog parade or for photos that I make into cards for friends.Believe it or not my dogs do enjoy it as they get laughs and treats so the pay off is worth the short time of wearing the costume, but I do draw the line at dogs running around in clothing like they are little kids. I don't quite understand that as they are not little kids or dolls. I also can't see spending all that money on clothing for a dog???????????????

If any of you have the need to spend lots of money on fancy designer clothing for your dog. I am willing to spare your dog and let you buy the clothing for me instead Oh the things I would do for a dog!!!

Maciesmom -- I wanted to rep you for this fabulously ridiculous find, but I've got to spread the love around first. And Shelbygirl and Dashdog couldn't get reps either.

From the day he was a tiny little thing, when I laid him on his back to put a sweater on him on a chilly day, he laid there like a baby. So still and quiet. I think I have a one of a kind little rescue Chi! While I was putting that outfit on him he actually started to fall asleep. I had to wake him up to take the pics. I am practicing to start a pet photog business and he is my perfect model!
He has never been out in public with anything on but a little sweater!
My little rescue Chi is Priceless! I luvvvvvv him!

My old beagle gets cold in winter easily, and has several sweaters. Last winter she wore them in the house. I bundled up in a major way and she was cold with the heat low. Beagle have practically no undercoat. My new girl will need a bigger one but will be getting one for cold weather.

Older dogs easily get cold so even if a dog hasn't needed a sweater before and is getting old they may.

Yes, those boots are expensive... but since it was 120 on the pavement outside my door at my old apartment when we did walkies she wore her boots.
