I agree! Don't forget about if it makes the dog happy too!

I can tell when my dog doesn't like an outfit, his head sinks low.

I agree too! It looks like Chance likes it!
Did you go to the Fifi and Fido "La Fiesta del Perro Loco" The fiesta for the crazy dog?
I went and it was awesome to see other dogs dressed up in fiesta gear along with their float!

We usually put bandana type scarves on our pups, but no clothes.
My Hubby put a pair of my sweats & sweat shirt on our first Rott years ago. We came from Calif.... to MO. The Rotts first Winter was REALLY cold. When I came home from work & saw him I laughed hysterically.
Our Rott didn't like being dressed up.

I would say if you dressed your pup up for special occasion, but not all the time, that would be fine. I would ask your dog first & get his/her opinion. :-)

Ours either We did an Ultimate dog games event recently and one of the events was to run 50 yards with your dog, stop - put a t-shirt on your dog, then run back......when we got to the t-shirt - my rottweiler buddy did his low grumbly grump to let me know he was only participating because he's very competitive - NOT because he liked being 'dressed'

The eldest male rottweiler will do the 'Elvis lip' if you come at him with any type of 'dress-up' intent....

Obviously, Chance knows that he looks adorable!

My lab loves it when I've tried stuff on him. It's like he feels special,... he loves the extra attention.
He'll just sit there and let me do just about anything to him when it comes to dressing up -- (that is, except trimming his nails which is still a challenge.)

Unfortunately, because of his body shape, the red hoodie sweatshirt that I had from my last dog doesn't fit him right - at least yet.
It's really too bad because as a solid black lab, red is a great color for him, too. I know he's looking forward to wearing it someday when he fills out more !

He's got lots of bandanas to wear in the mean time....

I just think, a lot of people are lacking something in their lives.
This is just the way I feel. To each his own.
How do you feel about this?

Okie
i have to disagree with you because being a small dog owner myself i do put jackets on my dog for a reason yes she has a fur coat but the breed of my dog is hypoglycemic and gets very very cold so to prevent shivering i put her in a jacket and she is honestly alot happier when she is wearing it now i do have a limit like doggie underwear and pads but i have nothing against the occasional jacket
