Business Insider is reporting that bipartisan health experts have written a letter to congress.
Experts who worked under the Obama and Trump administrations are making a new recommendation.
They suggest that the US should invest $46.5 billion to safely re-open the US economy.
The letter contains four steps including a plan to offer $50 a day in aid to people who voluntarily self-isolate.
This is the same rate paid to those on a federal jury.
It also includes a plan to increase testing.

Link to the article doesn't work.

So that would be roughly $1500 a month.

If Trump and the GOP fail to approve Cares Act #2, then the Democrats will win the election. Trump's only chance is to agree to some form of new stimulus plan and say to the world that it would not have happened if he had not signed it and hope he gets votes from those who get the $.
Kudlow said no formal stimulus talks until after May.

Larry Kudlow is delusional ... perhaps even more so than Trump himself.

If the Republicans were smart they'd agree to recurring monthly (including retroactive checks for April and May) $1,500 checks for single filing adults making under $100,000/$150,000 for joint-filers (raise the income cap a bit from CARES #1 to give an extra boost to hard hit NY, NJ, etc) and $500 for minors under 18. They also need to agree to provide aid to state and local governments ... including yes, to cover lost tax revenue.

If the Republicans stick to the "just open everything up and all will be well by July" mantra they are going to get annihilated. Even Joni Ernst and John Coryn will lose re-election.

Kudlow talks like negotiations may become serious in June. If it is delayed by opposing republicans then the election in November may decide it. If the democrats win there will be more stimulus to individuals. They are the ones with the proposals.

The conservatives haven't had an original idea since I was sperm and egg (and I'm 32 now). They have one solution to every problem: tax cuts. Booming economy? Tax cuts. Recession? Tax cuts. Hurricane? Tax cuts. Tornado? Tax cuts. WIHS2006 trips and gets a booboo? I'm sure they have a tax cut for that as well

Yeah, I have heard the same thing though they also say to federal spending (that said a lot of that don't happen.) What I do hear almost as often as tax cuts is expand military spending. Anytime we say to cut it, it turns into "You hate the troops..."
