The poster appears to have been using CDC as a source, the same source you used for your numbers.

The CDC looked at five scenarios with a 0.4% overall mortality rate considered the best estimate. The data shows a 1.3% rate of people 65+ dying from #COVID while the rate for those 0-49 is 0.05 %

The data is to be sent to HHS, of which CDC is a division. If Trump could "manipulate it at HHS he could as easily do it at CDC. CDC is not being cut out of the loop. And CDC asked for this.

It all depends on whether or not we have lifelong immunity after getting infected or can get reinfected.

It looks like we may be able to get reinfected after a few months.

A vaccine is at least a year away.

A vaccine is at most six months away. I predict at least three will be approved and in production by November.

Ben Bernanke should be arrested and publicly prosecuted for his failed economic experiment that has created the largest income and wealth inequality in America’s history. This lunatic and his failed economic policies and theories are the main reason why we are in this mess today.
According to some people here, what's a few trillion in deficits here and there lol

Houses costing an average of 1 MILLION dollars is actually good for you!

Heck, since the money is simply printed out of thin air, we might as go for a QUADRILLION dollar deficit while we're at it

The reduced economic activity from the pandemic has hit local and state governments hard. They exist on tax collections and those collections are greatly reduced or delayed. Big Data to the rescue! :

Coming to a state near you, before you even send that invoice to your customer, the state’s department of revenue gets a copy along with an electronic transfer of the taxes due.

Of course it does, especially areas that rely on sales taxes to fund things. Property taxes including rent payments too.

I agree, but it complicates things if booster shots are needed. This isn't just a USA problem, it's a global problem. Add this to the mix of increasing the supply chain to accommodate Covid vaccines and boosters? It could be a challenge. Us retired people just have to stay home and let those that are essential have the vaccines first. How long will it take to vaccinate the world? Several months? I'm prepared to stay home for over a year. It's an awful thought.

Yes, and I explained how the previous poster was using the numbers incorrectly.

The news article you link is from May, rather outdated for an emergent health issue. The mortality rate is still sitting at about 4% of diagnosed cases.
