NEW YORK - Of all the words that have been used to describe the Bernard L. Madoff scandal, the most emotionally charged may be "Jewish."
The disgraced investment guru is accused of orchestrating a $50 billion Ponzi scheme that preyed heavily on fellow Jews and ultimately drained the fortunes of numerous Jewish charities and institutions.
I think it will only inflame those who already hold negative views of Jews but won't effect the views of the rest of the people. Racist, and, bigots will continue hating Jews.

Reason: Took out a mention of race
I have seen and read a lot of anti semetic remarks because of what happened and I wonder why these remarks weren't made when all the people in need and little kids were helped by these charities....as long as people get money or hear Jewish people give money and voluntering for others, we won't hear much positive things....
What Madoff did is even worse for Jewish people because many people got robbed from all their stuff during the Nazi time and have recovered and made a new life and got robbed and scammed by a person of the same faith. Elie Wiesel who has spend years in concentration camps and was seen on the Oprah show when Oprah and Elie went back to visit the camps he stayed....now his charity lost all due to Madoff. This is emotionally and financially very hard for any one involved and even for the people who felt close to this group because they volunteerd and or gave money without getting any money back, feel betrayed and horrible and have to deal with this. For people to make anti semetic remarks is so low. This has nothing to do with Jewish behavior just a lousy scumbag who happens to be a Jew but actually was a Judas!
"Swindlers List", a financial holocaust story about a group of crooks taken in by an even bigger, sneakier crook. You'll laugh....you'll cry....you'll check repeatedly for your wallet.
My family (who is Jewish) got ripped off by other Jews and Catholics, who were supposed to keep jewelry and money save for after the war was over. Her parents died in Auswitz and the stuff wasn't given to her, the only survivor! The kept it and many of the jewelry she saw later on the hands, arms and necks of the people her parents trusted....that is why my parents raised me "not to trust" many people, which was sometimes a little to much, but it seems it can be a good thing, specially when you have experienced it your self, the hard way!

I am concerned as well. Every time a Jew does something wrong some Jews will bring up the possibility of Antisemitism which I find rather insulting to the rest of the human race.

Your remarks make me think why black people always bring up the racist card.....mostly it is done by blacks, while Jews aren't addressing them self's or others as Jews in the first place...that is done by others.
