Rachel Maddow sounded like she liked Ron Paul tonight.
Here is a very interesting discussion on gov't intervention into our lives. I see Ron Paul as the only one that can unite the parties. Everybody can agree with him on some things. His plan for change is one of transition, offering people choices, and working with coalitions from both sides of the aisle.

This is a discussion about gov't intervention and civil liberties. 10 min.

unbelievable! Tea Party Patriots did a nationwide poll by phone. The results have Newt on top, Bachmann 2nd, and Romney 3rd, Paul is second from the bottom.

Are we that out of touch? What the hell happened to the Tea Party?

The TP got absorbed by the hard core super far right of the Republican party I guess.

Its like i have been saying all along, they have been co-opted by the Koch Brothers and other neo-con special interest groups. They are not the tea party anymore, they are in name only. They were bullied and eventually bought off, and now they don't care anymore and will do what they are told.

Its so sickening, the tea Party was started by Dr. Paul, and now look at it. Before they were against big government and the police state policies, now they are for them. Their candidate of choice (Gingrich) is PRO PATRIOT ACT. Dont you all remember that the tea party started largely due to reactions to the patriot act? Now look at the title of the Poll ... "Tea Party Patriots Straw Poll" ... How terribly ironic!

The Tea Party has officially lost all credibility ...

If Huntsman is last, and Santorum is above Paul, then that is incredibly sad.

From Mark Petrina Of "The Tea Party Partriots" ...

Quote:
As a final note, the Ron Paul phenomenon should be addressed. If you are a Paul supporter, please read my comments in the good faith with which I offer them.
Ron Paul is the potential Ross Perot of 2012, and as such potentially dangerous. I do NOT think Ron Paul is the Tea Party answer; a reputable polling firm (Rasmussen or Gallup?) found that Paul gets less than 10% of Tea Party support. Ron Paul’ers magnify their apparent numbers by “flooding the zone,” whether in straw polls or blog threads. During debates, Paul seems uninterested in going after Obama, although he says a lot of damaging things, inappropriate for the forum, about the GOP. Although he is in the ideal position to look into the Fed, Paul has done nothing of substance; I must wonder if he’s not just another big-talking Establishment guy with a fabulous P.R. machine.

Gingrich/Romney race not a failure of Tea Party | Tea Party Patriots
You see? They back the lobbyist and then blame Paul for being the banskster insider ... Insidious!

Those are not real Tea Partiers. As I've said too many times on C-D, the REAL Tea Party would NEVER endorse Newt, of all people.

The Tea Party has been taken over by a bunch of fricken neo-cons. They want to continue to talk about the government being too big and having too much control but they vote for the person who would give them that.

Fake ass Tea Partiers. Bought and paid for. Disgusting.

This is not my Tea Party. This is not the Tea Party that started in 2007. If this is what is considered the Tea Party now, (which, it is not because there are members of the Tea Party out there who do NOT support anyone BUT Ron Paul), if this is what the Tea Party is or will become, I will NO longer support this because it's b.s.
