Give me one good reason why Ron Paul should get a prime spot? Or why a Romney "dismissal" results in "things changing quick"?
Because without Paul's supporters Romney loses, ala 2008.

As the Paulbots are fond of repeating ad nauseum daily, they will not vote for Romney under any circumstances. That means there is no reason whatsoever for the GOP and Mitt Romney to give RP a platform at their convention.

Watch, he will get one.
During the primaries, Ron Paul got barely over 2 million votes. While every vote is important and helpful, I hardly think that is going to swing an election in this case, especially since a lot of those were more than likely Democrats trying to muddy the waters.

or some were Democrats that really support him and are not going to vote for Obama either. Those who are opposed to any involvement in foreign countries will not support either major candidate. You are right, his not being the nominee isn't going to make much difference.
Yes, we may feel betrayed, but we must never forget the lessons we’ve learned from Ron Paul about individual liberty, personal responsibility, sound money, cooperation, property rights, charity, and voluntarism.
We don’t believe in these concepts because Ron Paul believes in them, but because they are true. Ron Paul will always be a hero in the freedom movement for shining a light on these issues.
So I don’t care if Rand Paul endorses Mitt Romney. I will continue to endorse liberty. I don’t care if Ron Paul concedes defeat. I will continue fighting for victory.
The Ron Paul revolution is NOT about Ron Paul. The revolution is about liberty. Ron Paul is only one man. You are the revolution.
I learned long ago the only way liberty is going to work in this country is when the socialist and facists destory the country and bullets and food and water are the only source of value.
then the american idol watchers, welfare lovers, media and most of washington will have to answer to the calls of freedom.

Why would you think that a collapse of American society would lead to more 'freedom'?I think it would likely lead to much less.

So what are you going to do when he gets a prime spot? Not vote for Romney?

I think he is alluding to the idea that things have to get really bad before people actually decide it is at their door and they need to do something. Not sure this leads to more "freedom", but throughout history there is a pattern of such behavior.
Personally, I think for many, even such occurrences wouldn't help them to understand what occurred.
