When you have nothing else, you bring a guy who has been dead for what? three years? into the conversation.
And, yes, Teddy did do some bad things but he also did some wonderful things and dedicated his later years to helping those who needed it the most. Which is something the Romneys have NEVER done. They only care about helping themselves and other already incredibly rich people get even richer by raising taxes on the middle class while cutting taxes for themselves.
Something the Romneys have done is leave a woman to die a slow, horrifying death, while they run and hide to save their political career. HARDLY a bad thing. NOTHING he did could make up for doing that. And those later years - might it have been guilt?
Fact is, Teddy only cared about himself. He only cared about saving his career. And he only cared about getting rich people and his cronies richer. But the fact that the left holds him up as a wonderful example shows alot about what they consider a good person.
Let's be honest here. I don't criticize people for just being conservative. Most of my friends are conservatives. I live in a Republican stronghold. We're criticizing Ann Romney for her presenting herself as someone who understands the struggles of the average woman in America when clearly she has no point of reference other than being a damned good mother---the latter point is one that most Democrats here are giving her credit for doing.
Yes, from everything I know about Ms. Romney she is a decent mother. As are millions of other women, most of whom go about it quietly, not expecting any kudos for doing what a mother typically does. For Ann, though, since that's the only thing she has ever done, suddenly we need to be jumping up and down applauding what a wonderful accomplishment it is that she does the laundry. This at a time when millions of women manage to not only wash their family's clothes, but do it in addition to holding down full time jobs, struggling with finances and childcare, and maybe worrying about how to pay the medical bills for their loved ones who have cancer or MS or some other illness on a limited income and/or no insurance, etc. You know, all the kinds of things that Ms. Romney knows absolutely nothing about.
But hey, I AM impressed that she figured out the washing machine...

Believe me, I am not jealous of her. I would hate to have such a negative, hateful, entitled outlook on life.
And the money she's earned is, um, because of her husband's connections. And his book. So how is she any different than Ann? And while the money she earns is her's, the money she SPENDS is ours.
And no, I don't want to steal it from her at all. That's what you libs don't get. I would love for her to get incredibly wealthier, and pay less taxes. As I do for all americans. Let us keep out money, and see the economy grow.

Ann Romney was fortunate in that her husband earned a good enough living that the 7 of them were able to live on one income. That doesn't mean she had money to spend frivolously or time to fritter away--which is what is being implied here. The business of raising children from infancy to adulthood and to be responsible, productive adults takes plenty of devotion to that duty, as ANY parent can tell you. It matters not a whit whether there is macaroni and cheese for dinner five nights a week or whether your meals are served by maids. Being a good parent takes effort. And yes, it can be a struggle for ANYONE.
No, actually, a selfish spoiled brat would be the person that insists that everyone else pay for their healthcare. Yea, I'm pretty sure you have a host of undiagnosed, phantom illnesses that make life difficult for you. And you would love nothing better than to have your healthcare handed to you on a silver platter. But as the person that has to struggle to pay their own bills, and the taxes that pay for the leeches of society, I will do whatever it takes to keep that from happening.
If you want SOCIALISM so badly, you might want to think about relocating. This country was built on self-sufficiency and self reliance.

Does RomneyCare have a death panel? Yea, didn't think so. Once the government gets involved, our choices disappear. With private insurance, you have a choice.

Mitt is a self-made man and has accomplished more in his lifetime than that low life, Ted Kennnedy, who was born into lavish wealth, thanks to his boot legger father. On his own Ted Kennedy would never have amounted to a hill of beans. He was a womanizer, a hard drinker and left a young woman to die in a submerged car at Chappaquidick Island. Yet, Democrats lionize this low life.
No he isn't. His dad handed him 400k. That's not self made. In the meantime when Teddy Kennedy runs for public office, we'll discuss Teddy Kennedy.
