....I would be embarrassed to even write something like that, no matter how much I dislike the person........
People like you are embarrassed just to be breathing. Pull yourself together, for crying out loud!! Closet socialist like you are the root cause for the problems in our nation.

I served and my husband continues to serve. My husband has spent no small amount of time in varous deserts over the last few years. Both of our fathers served in wars, as did three of our four grandfathers. We can both even trace multiple great-grandfathers who spent time on battlefields. We now have an all volunteer force, there is no requirement for any of Romney's kids to serve and neither of us have no issue with that - none. Yes, voluntarily serving in the military says something about the character of a person, but since neither candidate has, it is a moot point.

Really, another ignorant comment...
Retired Army, 1988 - 2009....what your excuse for not retiring...
Worring about whether or not someones children served or not is stupid, as we can see by the leftist comments in this thread...
Though an early supporter of the Vietnam War, Romney avoided military service at the height of the fighting after high school by seeking and receiving four draft deferments, according to Selective Service records. They included college deferments and a 31-month stretch as a "minister of religion" in France, a classification for Mormon missionaries that the church at the time feared was being overused. The country was cutting troop levels by the time he became eligible for the draft, and his lottery number was not called.
