Will Goldman Sachs/Bank of America, et, al. Intentionally wage war on the US economy to send a message, and will the IS respond by nationalizing the banks?
I guess we'll never know; Warren has repeatedly said that she won't run, and even if Sanders runs, barring a 2008-style collapse for Clinton, I don't expect him to win the Dem nomination...and even if he does, there's that whole "self-avowed socialist" label that wouldn't play well with large segments of the American public. It would take an absolutely unbelievable grassroots campaign - one even exceeding Obama's 2008 and 2012 campaigns - for him to have a chance of winning the general election if he gets there.
It would make for an interesting scenario, though, especially if Sanders gets into office. It'd be him vs. the GOP, center-right Dems, the mainstream media, the banks, and the large corporations.

I really am curious.
I don't think there is a law that allows the US government to just confiscate private property, and even if there is, it would require due process.
What hypothetical actions by GS or BoA would you consider "waging war" on the economy?

Goldman Sachs has manipulated the gasoline market in the past, they could drive gas up to $5-6/Gal, BofA, which the last I looked still had 12% of all deposited funds in the US, even though their is a law capping such saturation at 10%, could go with crippling service charges, cutting off of lending and such, require larger minimum balances, like $5000 in a checking account.
This is going to be fun. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders: 'I am running for president' | Fox News The self-described "democratic socialist" enters the race as a robust liberal alternative to Hillary Rodham Clinton, and he pledged to do more than simply raise progressive issues or nudge the former secretary of state to the left in a campaign in which she is heavily favored.
I am glad to see Mrs Bill Clinton will have to guard her left flank now, should get real interesting. Lord knows Sanders has plenty to hit her with as would anyone.
I'm throwing my hat in to Sanders. He needs to expose her right-wing, free trade loving tendencies for all to see
Yes this is going to be fun...The only difference between Clinton and Sanders is Clintons are smart enough, or (shrewd ) enough to understand what they need to do to get elected.
Sanders at least appears to have the courage of his convictions.
Clintons don't know what that means.
Though I'm not a Democrat if Sanders were nominated and Rand Paul were not I would vote for him over the GOP choice. Sanders' stance on trade, foreign policy, and corporate influence in the electoral process as well as the fact that he is honest and not corrupt would make pull the lever for him. I may not always agree with him, but like Ralph Nader (who I actually voted for in 2008), I respect him for his strong commitment to his principles and his ability to resist corruption.
