I disagree. Racist USED to be a scarlet letter, as it should be. These days it is thrown around so freely that it has lost all meaning.
It's thrown around a lot online, but it's something you don't want thrown at yourself in real life...unless you're willing to grovel to prove you aren't racist (and possibly adopt an African child).
I work with a couple of people who have made it their mission this election to make sure everyone knows how racists, sexist ect Trump is. And now that it looks as if Trump has a good chance of winning they're going nuts. They really get heated.
You want to talk politics with such people if you're a Trump supporter? Not me. I've got to work there. Better to say nothing and talk about the weather.
I also have family that had trouble when mentioning anything positive about Trump.
I suppose I wish there were a betting market open only to political journalists and commentators, though. My hard-to-prove sense is that they underrate Trump’s chances as compared with both betting markets and our forecasts.
Not true. Your cultmaster had a brief bump where he was well above 40 for a few days, and now he's slipped back down where he belongs. All 3 of the 538 models have him below 40%.

I know people like that, and if they have a heart attack over it, so be it. His businesses had above average levels of women and minorities in executive positions. Actions speak louder than words to those with a brain.

It is looking more and more likely that millennials will either stay home or vote 3rd party, costing Clinton the election. This would validate Trumps strategy of bringing up the 90s scandals, something the GOP was too scared to do.
Trump has certainly lowered the bar - on many levels - not the least of which is intelligence, but extending to just plain decent behavior and parlor manners.
Rebutting this depravity, not to mention the sheer illogic, bold-faced lies, and unbelievable stupidity running rampant in the political arguments being put forth this election is exhausting to the point many sane and thoughtful people have chosen to leave the debate - making their voices heard, instead, on Election Day.
