They aren't following Pelosi's advice. The Democratic candidates are, by and large, staking out their own political territory without using any advice from any outsiders. Especially advice from the old, secure, well-entrenched Democrats who don't face stiff competition.

It's all part and parcel of getting the party back down to growing from the roots up, not from the top down. The candidates in the Democratic party are no longer content to let others define them, whether those others come from within their own party or if they are those from without.

Since regaining strength in the heartland is the prime objective, there are going to be a lot of Democrats who aren't going to have the same agenda a big-city Democrat will have, but that does not mean they are anything but Democrats. The party is busy developing both a strong left wing and an equally strong right wing this year.

It probably won't work in some races, but it probably will in others. Does that mean there will be a blue wave?
No.
But it also doesn't mean the Democrats won't win in some places either.

And what, exactly, is a 'wave'? If a Democrat takes away a securely Republican seat, I'm sure the losing Repub will feel he got hit by a wave. Not all waves have to be tsunamis to be waves.

Democrats need to focus on open borders, murders without consequences, and everything free.

You don't have a clue about the people controlling the Demonic Rat Party...they want open borders, murders without consequences and free everything.

I never thought the earlier post could be topped, but you just did.

Congratulations. You just made the silliest post ever on City-Data. It is far sillier than the earlier candidate for the dubious honor.

There are multiple reasons for the economy changing and I understand people don't understand or believe it.
1. I still want to know who set up the formula for current unemployment. It too often isn't a reflection of reality.
2. With all the regulations removed or being removed, companies aren't liable for problems that will be caused soon enough. Two quick examples: A) there was no tax cut for middle class and poor. The top (actually greater that 1%) got the biggest transfer of wealth from us to them. But the people in power keep pushing the great benefits we're getting. That's not true. But if you say it enough, some people believe it.
B) Remember Paul Ryan touting some woman's great $1.50 more per week in earnings then he retracted it because that's a non-amount worth anything. C) Tariff and free trade war - pork producers and other folks in what's left of our country are going to be hurt (and, granted, may not care) but even the Koch bros. are promoting anti-tariff ads and are working against it. Tariffs will also hurt their business and we're being hurt by not being able to sell goods (or as many) made in this country to our allies. They're fighting back and we'll all be hurt by it.
3. Again with the regulations removed, it puts us right back into heading for a recession or another depression. People at the top are using your money to by expensive dining room sets and setting up secure phone room (called skiffs) and for Pruitt, he's getting away with it. I understand you don't see how it hurts you but he's using and abusing your money and ours to do it.
4. "Epic turnarounds" well, yes because the Russians and other cyberwar attackers are invading us. It's obvious. We're in the middle of a war and the people "in charge" aren't stopping the hacking because they
want to stay in power. So, I agree, we'll probably not see major changes due to hacking and all the propaganda you're seeing (same message, different channels).
4a. Epic turnarounds because companies can do (almost) anything they want to hurt consumers and
get away with it and it allows the rich to get richer off of us.

I understand your belief. I don't see that you have the complete picture of how you're being taken for a deep-dark ride. We'll see what happens but it's not good.

You would have to be clinically insane to vote anything they stand for.

Actually late term abortions are rare, and mostly for medical problems. and I wonder how many Trump paid for. What's wrong with making the rich pay their fair share?
