I know about the demographics in Elizabethtown.
I enjoyed the panel's reaction to this on NC Spin. Allowing that man to take office would be allowing him to get away with stealing 2 elections, the primary and the general.
Good for the election board. That means Republicans, Democrats, and the Independent(Unaffiliated), because they all voted to not certify it.
I hope that they order a new election, between the Democrat & Pittenger.

The vote difference would not have made any difference in that race. Harris beat Pittenger fair & square. The primary is closed. Only registered republicans and declared independents could vote in it.

IMO, I do think McCready is not part of this. But we've seen how politics is played in this state.
I don't think that McCready has a thing to do with it. The election board found that the primary appears to have been tampered with as well.
McCready ran ads featuring some of Harris' misogynistic thoughts on women, as preached from the pulpit. That's what I was referring the other poster to. There's no doubt that those are Harris' thoughts as it's Harris' voice saying it.

This doesn't have anything to do with Pittenger.
Did you miss the news report that they now think that Harris ran the same game on Pittenger in the primary?

Do you mean that McClatchy piece printed in the leftist Observer? It doesn't say anything. And Pittenger himself says that he won't speculate. i.e. IMO, It's nonsense and clearly a distraction from what is really going on here.

WSOC reported it & said that their source was the election board.
The report that I heard was that they looked back to the primary & it appears that the same thing happened in the primary. They have complaints from voters who say that someone came & picked up ballots whether they were completed or not. There are complaints from people who showed up to vote who were told that they couldn't vote because they'd already turned in absentee ballots, but they hadn't asked for an absentee ballot nor had they received one. There are complaints about hearing about the $40,000 payoff if Harris won. Do they have to tell you what they're looking into. That seems pretty self explanatory to me.
