I wonder if even a do-over will yield accurate results.
The whole idea of being able to go door-to-door gathering ballots just isn't going to get the job done. That ballot should be mailed to the proper person or given to the proper person.

I think it's OK for a person to turn in the ballot of another who, for whatever reason, can't turn it in themself.

But turning in a whole bunch? No way.

Dunno how you would track this though.

When I drop my ballot into the drop-off bin, there's no one there to see how many ballots I'm dropping.

California loves the idea. So much so that they passed a law to make this legal, ballot harvesting. There are reports that credit the ballot harvesting with the flip of Orange County, California congressional seats.

Just google 'ballot harvesting California'.

I agree. There is no reason why my neighbor should not be able to drop my ballot off at the post office.
But a stranger should not be allowed to collect ballots.

Interesting article on why the NCBOE noted the voting anomalies in this district - https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/07/u...-carolina.html

I'd only support a re-vote if the number of affected people would change the outcome of the election. And that doesn't necessarily mean that 1000 (Harris has about a 1000 vote lead) people sign affidavits stating their ballots were tampered with. In addition to some other proof, there needs to be evidence that those who are affected voted for someone other than Mark Harris. I highly, highly doubt that they'll get proof of 1000 people affected by this mess. And, make no mistake about it, this is a mess and those responsible need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But that doesn't mean redoing an election just because Nancy Pelosi says to do so.

12/11/18; NC Republican Party calls for re-vote “if”

Quote:
The North Carolina Republican Party said Tuesday that a new election should be held in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District if a new allegation regarding the leak of early-voting results before Election Day is proven.

This action by election officials would be a fundamental violation of the sense of fair play, honesty, and integrity that the Republican Party stands for,” he said in a statement. “We can never tolerate the state putting its thumb on the scale. The people involved in this must be held accountable and should it be true, this fact alone would likely require a new election.”

Dallas Woodhouse, the executive director of the state Republican party, said it was likely early votes were leaked.

"We're almost sure those early vote totals were leaked out," Woodhouse told POLITICO. "That's where we are. The [state elections] board's got to do whatever it does."

As of today, the NCBOE still hasn't released any information beyond the complaint made by the Democrats.

And now they are saying they might need even more time before they do.

No doubt there is more to this than what the media has tried to suggest.

WASHINGTON – McCrae Dowless, the man whose “get-out-the-vote" activities are the center of the election fraud investigation in North Carolina, told a local political campaign volunteer that he was holding onto 800 absentee ballots, according to a new affidavit obtained by NBC News.

The new affidavit is the latest development in an investigation into election fraud involving absentee ballots that has postponed the certification of the election of the ninth congressional district race and at least two local races in the Tar Heel State.

In the signed statement, Kenneth Simmons said that he met Dowless at a local Republican Party meeting in the small town of Dublin. Dublin is located in Bladen County, the epicenter of the election fraud investigation involving absentee ballots.
Quote:
My concern,” Simmons concluded at the end of his affidavit, “was that these ballots were not going to be turned in.”
