302,282 more Democrats have already voted, over Republicans that already voted. This combines mail ballots and early in-person ballots already cast.
Florida has 5-6 more days of early in-person voting(depends on county) plus in-person election day voting. Latest poll expects 61R/38 D in-person turnout on election day. Most Floridians will have already voted either via mail or early in-person versus election day voters.
Mail ballots are allowed until the polls close on election day. Florida doesn't count mail ballots that arrive after the polls close on election day, even if postmarked before election day.
No one knows who the non party voted for this really isn't telling us much. Then again we need something to talk about until next week.
My personal feeling is Republicans will fall short even on election night because anyone who is very enthusiastic for Trump would have voted already in person.
Very recent Florida polls indicate that many people which originally planned to vote in-person on election day now plan to vote early in-person.
Latest Susquehanna poll indicates 11% of Floridians plan to vote in-person on election day.
The situation is quite dynamic. With COVID on the surge (or as Trump would say, turned the corner), many people are feeling jittery about waiting until Nov 3rd. If the massive early turnout is contributed, in part, by the shifting of Nov 3rd voters to early voters, then the spread in early voting needed by Democrats is much smaller. Obviously, going by party registration says little about the actual vote, nor does it say anything about the huge bloc of unaffiliated voters. Lets hope we break the total turnout this year and make it memorable!
