Hello, they were elected “before” Roe was struck down not after. I’m sure all those good GOP members that voted for this toured the state and did met over the summer to get a sense from their constituents on abortion. I just know they wouldn’t just vote on this without the temperature of the electorate.
Well, they didn't need to tour the "state" only their district.
Fairly certain most of them know where their constituents stand on abortion.
No they did not. As of the last election, Roe v Wade was in place. The voters had no idea their elected reps would restrict abortion to this extreme extent. Abortion was not on the radar during the last round of state elections.
Yes they pretty much did. They know who they are voting for.

Roe was never law. Courts don't create laws, hence Roe being overturned. It's really not that complicated

I sincerely doubt they did much of anything in July. They were elected before Roe was overturned, what was the rush to decide this with little or no debate.

I know Roe was overturned. But until that happened, abortion was considered legal in all 50 states. Everyone accepted the Roe decision.
Then the supremes overturned it and put us right back were we were before the Roe decision. It's de ja vu all over again with every state trying to be more restrictive than the next. Lots of virtue signaling going on, with women's lives at stake.

You realize that Indiana is a pretty conservative state right?
Pretty sure most people know how conservative (or liberal) their state reps are.
If they don't, that's not anyone's problem but their own.

So was Kansas, Roe has been around for 50 years but they needed to get this done in two months. Roe was supported by 60% of the population and that includes conservatives.
Abortion has been illegal, even after Roe. Like I said, courts don't make laws. The unborn holocaust is our currant tragedy
Are you trying to say all the states did not abide by the Roe decision for all those years? You know they did.
We are not discussing whether or not you think abortion is right or wrong. We are discussing what was considered the law of the land for almost 50 years. Roe was accepted by every state until the day it was overturned by the Supremes.
