You're right. It's tough for a woman to reach that rank but she is brilliant and a great soldier...loves the service. She has been in for 28 years. My poor grandson....growing up in a home with two SGMs. Well, he sure did grow up to be a well behaved, VERY polite young man.

What Bush have you been living under? The war in Iraq is NOT a war against al Qaeda!! Weapons of Mass Destruction is the reason given the American people for the deaths of thousands of our friends and relatives in Iraq. WMDs that proved non-existant!! WMDs that this administration knew did not exist!!

Iraq is smoke screen for the dismal failure of this administration.

OMG 2 in same house lol oh poor kid . I imagine he was stationed in nice places .

Would think they lived on post though ofcourse they can easily live off post but after you make E-6 SSGT the post houses get better.

Army wasnt bad but I was Artillery and would have rotted in Afghanistan thus got out after my extension.

I am going to bed now as get up early for work but you ruined my sleep as just thinking of 2 Sgt Majors in same house is a horrifying thought.

I expect to have nightmares tonight thinking of 2 -Sgt Majors .

I'm not completely sure there's going to be any more Dem control over Congress than there is now. As it is, it's not that great. If there was any meaningful Dem control over Congress, Bush would have been impeached by now. As it is, the GOP can filibuster anything they don't like in the Senate, where the Dem control is by a narrow margin. And they proved that despite a Dem majority in the House, they're capable of killing something there. The failed bailout bill proved that.

The very possibility of Dems controlling all of Congress and the White House speaks volumes for the failed Republican M.O. of 2001-06, when the Dems were teetering on the brink of irrelevance.

Remember, midterms are just two years away, while a McCain/Palin win would have them in the White House for at least two years beyond that. And really, nothing should scare you more than the idea of someone like Sarah Palin being POTUS.

Well I am a Vietnam Era veteran (USAF retired), but I personally don't care for both Obama and McCain. Those of you who are old enough understand that Obama is a socialist, and McCain is a liberal. The lesser of two evils is McCain, but I was not going to vote for either until Palin entered the picture. Palin is conservative as they come, and I am, too.

They try to pretend otherwise, but their actions and their words say otherwise.

Democrats have blocked every effort to go after al Qaeda that has been introduced in Congress. The Democrat Party is the greatest ally al Qaeda could possibly have.

It is Obama who has voted against funding our military and berated them at every opportunity he had, and you call that "support?" Truly amazing.
What an unbelievable pile of crap. Are you saying that there are no Democrats in the military? Got sources?

Are you disputing that civilians have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan?

If Democrats actually HAD 'blocked every effort', we wouldn't be in Iraq now.
Where do you get your news?????

By the way, some recent votes regarding the military:

I would much rather have Obama's support by vowing to end this senseless war.
A lot of military guys see things this way now.

This veteran is 100% for Obama, and since I am registered to vote in Virginia my vote counts more than yours. Don't you just love the electoral college?
