No kidding. The mere (speculative) fact that Powell didn't give his endorsement to any other candidate, foreign or domestic, proves that Powell is a reverse racist. - using that logic.

Why is it so hard to believe that a responsible American conservative would turn away in disgust from the unrelenting ugliness and emptiness of McCain's campaign - with its hideous added bonus, the prospect of a President Palin?

He also said, "[Obama] has met the standard of being a successful president, being an exceptional president."

Colin Powell knows the political world rather better than we do. He's not an irresponsible guy. No doubt his first consideration was the fate of the military and America's national defense. He chose Obama. Why not just accept that what he said is what he meant?

Those are the reasons he gave, "LOL." Obviously there are other reasons. Did you expect him to present a monologue?

I will try to explain this as succinctly as possible. You have a black person who appears to have “transcended race,” in other words, race is not supposed to be an issue for them. Some individuals might even claim that they don’t see them as black, they just see them as exception in their chosen field. This however, only seems to be the case if the black person distances themselves from other black people (unless they’ve also transcended race) and does not broach the subject of race/racism in a way that would be perceived as supportive of blacks. I could write a book about this, but I’ll stop here.
