Hi guys,

I can't complain about my life in general. I have lived in sevaral world cities including Amsterdam, NYC, Chicago, Toronto, Florence and Milan and am now stuck in Zurich, Switzerland. It is the dulest place with extremely unfriendly people. You guys have an idea what city I should move to next that come close to the exciting places I mentioned above? Thanks for inputs.....

Have you tried French Switzerland? Geneva, Lausanne? Different culture, different temperament.

You could post on the Switzerland forum here: The Local - Switzerland's News in English and see if people can recommend a better location in Switzerland, or how to make friends in Zurich. At the very least, you'll probably find someone to commiserate with. There are a lot of expats on the forum.

If you are bored living in Zurich, you are just a boring person and no city in the world will cure this.

You can say you are use to Zurich, want something different, etc, but bored in Zurich?

Maybe you need a reference of what a boring place really is, I suggest move to a place in the US like Wichita, Knoxville, Omaha or some place like that, or try small towns. After those places, Zurich will feel like a carnival.

lol! I suspect the OP's problem is more that the people there are very reserved, and don't make friends easily. It takes time.--years, to make it from "acquaintance" status to "friend" (which, by definition, means 'close friend' ), according to locals there.

Look around for some hobby groups in your area to join, OP.
