Not really.
From what I know, his maternal grandfather could have been of Jewish origin, and then again may be not.
His maternal grandmother however, was half-German, half-Swedish.
I thought the stories of his Asian-minority heritage had been debunked.
Why would anyone need to "debunk" it?
Quite honestly I've never heard before that he had some Kalmyks in his family down the line, but we've been always taught in schools that his father was Chuvash. That's pretty difficult to change I think.

Some people have said he was part Yakut, since he's from the Lena River. Does anyone really have the facts?

Ruth, he is not "from the Lena River," he was born on Volga River, in Simbirsk ( that's what the city has been called back then, and in 1924 it was renamed after him as "Ulyanovsk."
Ulyanov was his original last name, but he changed it to "Lenin" in connection with the well-known events that took place in Tzarist Russia on Lena River. It was the revolt of the workers on the gold mines, which was brutally suppressed and a lot of people was massacred.
So no, no Yakuts in his family and there never were any.

Right, well that's why I was asking about his supposed Asian heritage being debunked. There have been all kinds of rumors about his background: Jewish, Yakut, various other Asian nationalities, blah blah. Just trying to sort it out.

No, just Chuvash ( his father.)
Whether someone considers this kind of background to be "Asian," - that's already a different story.
I remember seeing a story on youtube about a town in Western Russia that had a Black resident who was running for mayor, and they called him the Russian Obama.
I think I remember that too. Wasn't he selling watermelons somewhere in the Moscow metro area?
