No it USED to be occupied territory, occupied by so-called "Ukrainian state"
I think Crimea belongs to Russia and I'm fine they control it now but after the Soviet Union broke up it was agreed that Crimea would be part of Ukraine so it wasn't 'occupied'
It's still part of Russia so my point is pretty null and void. I think everyone agrees Crimea is part of Russia. In fact even before 2014 Russians I knew saw Crimea as part of Russia going there without a passport

Not my point. There's a whole thread dedicated to this topic. No need to hijack another one.

It was, since all "agreements" were made behind the closed doors, against Russian national interests and against the will of people, ( as much as the dissolution of the Soviet Union itself.)
So yep, it was a "temporary arrangement" and it was only a matter of time till Russians would take back that Sebastopol, where their fleet was stationed from the...1783, after Crimea has been wrestled from Turks.
( The thread on Crimea has been closed as I discovered, so I'll comment here.)
