Timelapse of the Moscow Metro from the first line to 2020. I know the 1994 to 2008 system. It's expanded a lot, they're kind of going nuts with it. Lovely new stations.

It boggles my mind knowing there are people now serving in Afghanistan that were not even born when the conflict started.

This is a civil war. I think this cannot happen otherwise. Who started it? I think these are the people who violated the constitution of Ukraine in 2014. If you violate the law, you should be prepared to bear responsibility. But Ukraine does not want to bear responsibility, they blame Russia. Nothing new.

And more about "Donbas idiot". This guy lived in a peaceful country, went to school. But in 2014, Ukrainian missile and shells began to fall on his city, I think he saw dead women and children. It was not Russian propaganda. It was Ukrainian missile and shells. I think he is not an idiot. I think he defends his city from Ukrainian missiles and shells. Although, of course, in a civil war there are no right and guilty soldiers. Those who started are to blame.

Well Russia started it. I remember it well. It wasn't Ukrainians occupying government security/police buildings, attacking army bases, etc. It wasn't Ukrainians pumping out false stories urging Russian speakers to violently rise up and fight fake enemies. It wasn't Ukrainians shelling Ukrainian border garrisons from inside of Russia. Even now this "Donbas" leader is a Russian. Any city in Ukraine has captured Russian military equipment on display. And not hard to find young men who witnessed the capture or killing of Russians in unmarked uniforms. And for what, so they can pretend they are involved in a civil war?

And now Russia still won't stop. They will simultaneously whine about sanctions and pretend they helped their economy. They live in a closed off society in decay with no improvement on the horizon without a commodities boom. All they can do is attack Ukraine so its worse off than oil producing Russia, and say: "see? democracy is bad!" "corruption and authoritarianism is good". What kind of brainwashing leads to "lets fight to the death to keep European values and rules from spreading to our village... "

Look, if a man went into field in a thunderstorm and caught lightning, then who is to blame? Lightning? No, lightning is just an element. Russia is also an element. The coup in Kiev caused a thunderstorm. And power's of solution of the problem ("anti-terrorist" operation) gave rise to a lot of lightning. I think no one will deny that Russia had the support of local population was more than 50% in the Donbas. Responsibility for actions, planning the result - these are the weaknesses of the Ukrainian government in 2014. Or maybe they wanted a civil war in advance. Then everything becomes consistent and logical.

btw Russia shares European values, because Russia is part of Europe. But NATO military bases are not a cultural values of Europe.

In Syria, it is becoming very hot again. Russian jets used a system of false targets to evade an air defense attack. The video does not contain a missile tracker which most likely means not a launch of missile itself, but a registration of target’s illumination (electronics of the jet determined that it is on the sight). Experts say this means a serious air defense system that rebels do not have. But, for example, Turkey has this. It seems to be a very serious conflict.

Don't worry. Turkey doesn't have a "serious" air defense system. They only have short range AA systems which are fairly avoidable. The only way Turkey can shoot down a Russian jet is to use their F-16 which would mean entering into Syria and thus getting involved with the much more capable Russian SAM's. Just don't get too close to the ground over enemy territory...

Wow, Russians holding their flags encouraging some locals to fight against a made up enemy (westerners coming to enslave them, nazis etc.). Which they still do to this day. No different than what they have always done in Eastern Europe
