EKATERINBURG, April 10 — RIA Novosti. More than 30 countries turned to Russia with a request for the supply of ventilators, told reporters Deputy head of the Ministry of industry and trade Oleg Bocharov.
"We want to use this situation in order to enter international markets. We believe that we have everything in order to concentrate our power potential — not only in the field of medical ventilators, but also in the production of other complex medical devices until the end of the year to create a special program," he said, adding that the Ministry and the economic development Ministry and Rosstandart ready to support.

According to Bocharova, companies are increasing production of medical equipment, "like in the Great Patriotic war." In April, production is expected to increase eight times, may 25, and June 30.
The Deputy Minister added that the results of scientific-technical Council on medical technology will create a consortium of developers and manufacturers. His task will be creating a line of domestic equipment in all critical areas on the basis of a single digital platform.
Earlier, first Deputy Minister of industry and trade Sergey Tsyb told reporters that in April Russia is planning to produce 500 of the ventilator, in may — two and a half thousand, and in June — three thousand.

Belarus has done a complete about face. They're following largely the same plan as everyone else now. The testing has found over 1000 people with CV-19 and so far 3 cases have resulted in death.
Regional authorities in Russia are seriously considering non essential travel restrictions. If you're from Moscow going to check on grandma in Kazan they're not going to allow you to do it. How they're going to enforce it is anyone's guess. Militarily? Check points on the highways and roads?
Doesn't seem doable.

I assume Russians sent tests to them or what?

The only realistic way to approach it is to close MOSCOW, with checkpoints on every highway and road leading to Kazan ( or any other big or small town in Russia.)

Moscow with its 120,000 millionaires (and now raging virus) is the ultimate source of contamination for the rest of the country, in each and every sense of this word, lol.

Yes, earlier this week they sent 10000 test kits. Russia is gearing up to be putting out 3000 ventilators a month by the end of June. Funny that they were cranking out that many T-34s in 1942.

I imagine a lot of them will go to countries in need in the future. I agree on Moscow, lock the city down.

They will not do this in any way and will not impose such restrictions. A couple of governors mentioned this a week ago And even tried to introduce it. The situation lasted two hours and ended in trouble for the governors. Although the media, such as echo or Radio Liberty and others, can not part with this news and trash it, despite the fact that the news has long been rotten.

The Chinese, when the city was closed like this, got the opposite effect. There were rumors, people panicked and several thousand patients scattered across the country spreading the infection.

Today, the movement of transport and people in Moscow and the region is limited. You need to issue a pass in contrast to Europe, where you need to print and fill out documents , in Moscow this happens via SMS

Katya said that they have 26 cases in Volgograd. There are 2 sources for the carriers it seems. People coming from Moscow and people returning from overseas. They're keeping real close track of things there.
Volgograd has several military installations in the region and I believe a mechanized regiment in the city. They could easily lock down all the major roads.

What "rumors"? What "several thousand patients?"
In Communist China no "thousand patients" would escape from Wuhan after the quarantine was announced.
BUT: 5 million people left Wuhan not knowing that the virus was already there and spreading, because it was the major holidays - the Lunar New Year or whatever it's called.
People went to visit their families, to celebrate elsewhere, to travel around the world and so on.

And that's how the virus started circulating around the globe.

So yes, Moscow needs to get closed, as the major source of infection in the country.
