Hard to believe Fátima is not on that list ^^ Millions of superstitious fools go there every year, some even dying in car accidents on the way, strange god that allows that... But I am happy my city is not on that list, fewer irritating tourists
Love the song at 20:40, there is something about the chorus...
1.Yeah Fatima does get a lot of religious pilgrims.
2. I don't blame you one bit I would not live in a neighborhood overrun by tourists either.
My ideal location would be a an apartment with a patio located on a hill with an ocean view green wooded hills as a backdrop in a reasonably developed city with all of the amenities that is walkable, has very good public transportation but not too densely populated. Where near Lisbon am I most likely to find something similar. Preferably near Lisbon.
Yes, there are such places, since everyone likes those attributes, prices are high, though. Try places such as Ericeira, Sines, or even Figueira, which is a popular beach town, but mostly with the Portuguese, not foreigners.
I remember a nice place called São Pedro de Moel, still have some photos
It is rather quiet though during the winter, because it is popular with wealthier Portuguese who have summer homes there. https://www.google.com/maps/place/%C...ae8c43!6m1!1e1
Transport is no problem. there are bus lines everywhere, but usually you can walk, anyway, especially when retired and in no hurry

Ericeira looks interesting in the videos I posted post #325 and on google map, how familiar are you with the city? What is you're overall impression? It looks interesting enough to investigate.
