A road trip along the Alentejo coastline sounds quite interesting.

Wow ran across this article it looks like there are some in the Poruguese government who think they can repopulate Portugal's interior with refugees. What a ridiculous plan, what about coming up with a plan instead to attract at least part of the 500,000 Portuguese who have left the country recently after the ecomomy collapsed.

I'm one of those who keeps adding to the views on this post, but that's to see if there are new pictures or discussions about places not about the music.

Old stone peasant home in the Azores islands. These old stone country houses have been standing for centuries many are abandoned I have noticed many people have purchased the one's with ocean views and renovated them into summer residences.

Nice footage of the Azores islands. The video is narrated in Brazilian Portuguese.

Default Fado Coimbra

Yes I really do exist and as far as I know there is no other woman singing Fado de Coimbra. It's really a shame. More than 50% of the students are female and only men are allowed to sing. It's a very old-fashioned tradition.

Boa tarde prazer.

Why aren't more women interested in singing Fado de Coimbra?

According to my limited understanding on the topic it is viewed as a masculine form of singing by traditionalists.
